What we process
- Without an account: IP address for rate limiting (20 requests/hour per IP, temporarily 50/h until 19 Sep 2026), plus a shared daily cap of 100,000 requests across all anonymous users.
- With a free account: email, password hash, API key, credit balance (1,000 one-time credits on signup).
- Paid credits: Stripe payment IDs and amounts; purchased credits expire 31 days after grant.
- API usage: requested YouTube URLs/video IDs, timestamps, HTTP status; after rate-limit windows we retain country and device class rather than full IP addresses in logs.
- Transcripts: cached up to 24 hours; not used for machine-learning training.
Processors
We use netcup (DE hosting), Cloudflare (CDN/proxy), Resend (transactional email), Hetzner (internal support mailbox), and Stripe (payments). We do not sell personal data. No customer DPA is offered for third-party data in YouTube captions — see the German privacy policy.
Cookies
The REST API is cookie-free (API key auth). The dashboard uses necessary session cookies (better-auth). Stripe.js loads only on the billing/checkout page. No marketing tracking pixels.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing under GDPR. Contact [email protected]. Report illegal content via [email protected] or our reporting form.
Withdrawal
Consumers may withdraw within 14 days using the two-step function in the signed-in dashboard (not a public URL). Details are in the German Widerrufsbelehrung.
